Dear colleagues, 

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend the 15th European Conference on Precision Agriculture – ECPA 2025, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, under the auspices of the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA)  and organized by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). 

Barcelona is a worldwide recognized and very well-appreciated city in the Mediterranean area. A multicultural and international city, with plenty of attractions ranging from architecture (Gaudi’s most famous buildings), business,  technology, art and sports. Not only this but also Barcelona is a very important center for the Agri-food business, offering promising relationships within the agricultural sector. Wine production, olive oil, rice, vegetables, citrus, and fresh horticulture are also attractive business activities in the surrounding area. 

Precision Agriculture (PA) is an important topic at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, specially represented by the Escola d’Enginyeria Agroalimentària i de Biosistemes de Barcelona (EEABB) and the research group of UMA – Unit of  Agricultural Machinery. In the last 20 years, a large list of research and extension projects focused on PA has been successfully developed and implemented in the agricultural sector, mostly focused on the very challenging sectors of vineyard and fruit growing. Consequently, hosting such an important event as ECPA will surely help our PA  archives, allowing us to reach as much as possible all the involved stakeholders. Precision Agriculture became a “magic word” in most of the newly implemented EU legislation, so we have the responsibility to improve knowledge and extension, making the latest developments available for everybody. 15th ECPA will merge efforts in order to  accomplish its attractive slogan: “A Reality for Everyone” 

We invite you to submit your research work and participate in the 15th ECPA. At www.ecpa2025.upc.edu you will find all the information related to the conference. As in all previous ECPA conferences, abstracts are invited to be considered for submission of full papers each of which will be reviewed by two scientific experts. We kindly ask you to fill in a questionnaire in order to have a better indication of possible attendance and to register your contact information in a database with the sole purpose of keeping you up-to-date. We really encourage you to come to  Barcelona to enjoy science, technology, and life!
